Halo

Organising the organisers

Halo Solutions, a leader in event safety and venue management, partnered with Atomic to develop a powerful digital solution for real-time incident reporting and team coordination at public events. The goal was to streamline communication between safety teams, security services, and authorities through a seamless, multi-platform system that would enhance operational efficiency and on-the-ground decision-making.

Atomic’s best practice design principles and first class technical expertise has been instrumental in building HALO into the award winning app it is.

Four mobile app screens show a user dashboard, incident list, a map with missing person details, and a chat conversation about the incident. The interface uses blue and white colors with clear icons and text.

The challenge

Improving safety operations through smarter communication

Event safety is complex, with multiple stakeholders needing to communicate quickly and effectively in high-pressure environments.

Halo Solutions needed a bespoke digital system that would support mobile users in the field while feeding live data into a central dashboard.

The tool needed to be robust, intuitive, and flexible enough to handle the dynamic needs of public event management—ranging from music festivals to national sporting events.

A digital dashboard displays incident reports, activity logs, and a map. The left section shows incidents and logs, the top bar displays the date and venue data, and the right section includes a map and staff information.

The solution

A multi-platform ecosystem for real-time coordination

Atomic developed a comprehensive digital platform that included a native mobile app for iOS and Android, a secure Admin portal, and a centralised Command Center Dashboard.

Field teams could log, manage, and escalate incidents in real-time, while the web dashboard gave safety officers a clear, live view of all activity. The system included real-time GPS tracking, time-stamped incident logs, and configurable modules, giving organisations the ability to tailor the platform for specific event needs.

All data captured by HALO is tracked in real-time with incident information and messages time-stamped and securely stored in activity logs. Post-event reports can be quickly generated directly within the dashboard – a process that without HALO would take several weeks to complete.

The outcome

Industry adoption and award-winning success

Since launch, HALO has been adopted by high-profile organisations including the Royal Navy, Notting Hill Carnival, and the International Cricket Council.

Its ability to track, log, and resolve incidents in real-time has revolutionised event safety management.

The system reduces reporting timelines from weeks to minutes, and offers full visibility with post-event summaries generated directly from the dashboard.

HALO’s impact has been recognised with three UK App Awards, including Best UK App, cementing its place as a critical tool for modern event operations.
