Driving used vehicle sales with Scania Go

As Scania UK prepared to launch its premium used vehicle proposition, Scania Go, the brand partnered with Atomic to reimagine its existing digital platform. Having built and maintained Scania’s Used Vehicle website and apps since 2017, Atomic was uniquely positioned to modernise the platform and deliver a high-quality retail experience that matched the ambition and prestige of Scania’s latest offering.

The challenge

Transforming an established platform into a premium digital retail experience

The existing Used Vehicle platform needed to evolve to reflect the new Scania Go brand, a premium proposition aimed at elevating the customer buying journey.

The challenge lay in enhancing the user experience while maintaining the stability and core functionality of a system already trusted by dealers and customers.

The goal was to create a multi-platform solution, spanning web, iOS, and Android, that could stand out in a competitive used vehicle marketplace, while introducing features like a vehicle grading system to support buyer confidence.

The solution

A multi-platform overhaul designed for modern buyers

Atomic led a complete redesign and redevelopment of the platform, covering the customer-facing website, native iOS and Android apps, and a powerful web-based admin portal.

Working closely with Scania’s marketing and IT teams, the platform was re-engineered to deliver a refined search experience, integrated vehicle grading, and seamless content management for Scania’s internal teams. A dedicated Scania Go landing page was developed to showcase the premium proposition and build brand awareness, while mobile-first design ensured an effortless user experience across all devices.

Key features, such as saved searches with instant push notifications and simplified vehicle uploads, made the platform both user-friendly and operationally efficient.

Atomic has been instrumental in bringing Scania Go to life. Their deep understanding of our platform and customers made them the ideal partner for this transformation.

The outcome

A high-impact launch with lasting growth

Scania Go launched in Spring 2023 at a high-profile HQ event attended by over 200 independent dealers, management, and trade press.

The platform has since seen significant growth in traffic, downloads, and user engagement, with dealers fully adopting the system and customers responding positively to its premium digital experience.

By combining modern UX with robust back-end architecture, Atomic delivered a platform that cements Scania Go’s position as a leader in the competitive used commercial vehicle market.
