Keeping a used-vehicle marketplace mobile
The challenge
Buying and selling used vehicles is no less important in the world of large commercial vehicles and so Atomic were approached by Scania UK to develop an online and mobile platform that would make this process easier for vendors and customers alike.
The solution
The result was a multi-platform system that worked seamlessly across web and mobile devices, combining a customer-facing responsive website and Android and iOS apps with a robust web-based and iOS admin interface.
The outcome
Following the successful launch of the app, Scania's wider business adopted the system easily and has since seen huge growth in their second-hand vehicle sales. Atomic continues to support and evolve the platform, with a major update due later in 2022 - watch this space!
Keeping it mobile
A key requirement was to build a system that worked seamlessly across all platforms including web, mobile and tablet. The solution also needed to allow Scania resellers to easily add machines.
Generating leads 24/7
A key feature to the mobile app was the ability for users to 'save searches' for specific vehicle. When a vehicle becomes available matching their criteria, they're alerted to it via push notifications and email.
Effortless vehicle uploads
The mobile app allows users to quickly add vehicles to the Scania marketplace. Scanning a vehicle identification number (VIN) instantly returns data relating to the vehicle - drastically reducing admin time and improving data accuracy.
