We’re looking for an SEO Specialist

Founded in 1998, AtomicMedia has become a fast-growing digital agency based in Nottingham. Over the years, we’ve evolved to be ahead of the game, whether it’s apps for smartphones, or innovative marketing strategies for a digital world.

We’re now looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to come in and take on the challenge of fostering our clients’ growth in the digital world.

As an SEO Specialist at AtomicMedia, you’ll be the driving force behind growing businesses up-and-down the country, developing and delivering on SEO strategies that are built to work.

You’ll be working across local, national, and international clients - you may even recognise some of them!

You will need to be confident in your SEO knowledge, take pride in delivering results you can be proud of, and be comfortable facing clients.

Responsibilities

As an SEO Specialist, you’ll be taking on some important responsibilities, including:

  • Developing SEO strategies for clients of all shapes and sizes
  • Implementing and delivering on the strategies you develop, whilst working with teams from other digital marketing verticals (such as PPC) to create joined-up strategies
  • On-site optimisation, as well as ability to recommend substantial changes to the development team
  • Analyse backlinks and develop link building strategies, as well as implement those strategies to improve client results
  • Understand and immerse yourself in various markets and industries to have a 360-degree understanding of each client

Requirements

This isn’t an entry level position, and as such, you’ll need a  bit of experience behind you to take on the challenge, including:

  • 3+ years experience in hands on SEO experience with clients, in which you’ll need to have deep experience in:
    • Fundamentals of SEO - including meta tags, sitemaps, robots.txt, and image optimisation
    • Page speed analysis
    • Structured data and schema
    • Local SEO
    • Content strategy and optimisation
  • Some experience in link building and an understanding of various link building strategies is a bonus!
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console
  • Understanding and knowledge of website architecture, best practices, and optimising crawlability
  • The hunger to constantly learn, keep up to date with the latest SEO trends, and continuous testing
  • Experience in using market-leading SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, or Majestic
  • Strong and clear knowledge of the English language
  • Comfortable in a client-facing environment and handling all kinds of scenarios
  • Strong attention to detail, upholding high standards of work that are to be proud of
