AtomicMedia broadcasts Live UKCCIS webcast to thousands...

The UKCCIS Summit took place in the QE2 centre in Westminster on the 8th December 2009, and it was AtomicMedia who broadcast it live to the nation, with our very own webcast crew.

A long drive and a very early start didn’t tame our crew’s excitement, with live vision mixing and all audio visual responsibilities, this really wasn’t a challenge for the faint hearted. Covering the topic of Child Internet Safety, the UKCCIS conference saw the launch of the new Digital Code for Internet Safety, with keynote speeches from our Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the Children’s Secretary Ed Balls MP, and Professor Tanya Byron... and let’s not forget the ‘True Colours’ choir from Alumwell Junior School, who performed a song about internet safety.

The webcast was a huge success with just over 5000 internet viewers, and no technical hitches- now that’s what we call good work.
