Business Development / Tender Producer
A fascinating opportunity exists for a self-motivated and keen individual willing to learn about all things web and video, to join a highly successful Bid Response team within a fast paced, forward thinking New Media Company.
You will need to undertake your own research, putting together detailed winning tender responses primarily for the Public Sector reflecting our innovative services. You will have an appropriate degree, and previous experience of similar work of writing proposals would be an added advantage. You must possess a keen interest in government policy and be able to understand the requirements of policy teams. The role also requires the individual to build and develop relationships, listen and respond to clients, and to adapt and apply themselves to new projects.
Salary:
- To be confirmed - You will initially be on a three month trial (this is just to make sure that you and Atomic are happy with each other, and can work well together).
Holiday entitlement:
- 20 days plus all bank holidays every 12 months worked or 1.67 days per month worked.
Training:
- Atomic may send you on external training courses and will devote time internally to train you in certain skills. I would like you to use some of your own time to read and learn about web design. This will help when presenting Atomic's products.
Contract period:
- 12 months - Permanent
Hours of Employment
- You will be required to work 40 hours per week, normally commencing each day at 9.00 am with a 30 minute break for lunch at 12.30pm or a time convenient your employer. The working day will normally finish at 5.45pm.
- You will be required to work additional hours when necessary as your job determines. This position is of a short-time response nature and, therefore, it will not always be possible to give advanced warning. The additional hours do not attract additional payments.

We're looking for an experienced PHP developer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in PHP with strong SQL skills. You'll display excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Ideally you'll have knowledge of RAD frameworks, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML, Apache and Linux.
What You Will Be Doing
- Creating database schema, use-case models, and developing the application code for the business logic behind cutting-edge web solutions
- Maintaining and improving our existing portfolio of websites & web applications
Essential Skills
- PHP (2+ years commercial experience)
- RAD frameworks (any language)
- SQL skills (experience of MySQL an added bonus)
Desired skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, CSS, XHTML, XML, Apache, Linux
- Object-oriented programming
- Computer Science degree
- Usage of source control (SVN)
- Experience of application development with an emphasis on user experience
- Involvement in the full project lifecycle
